As a genre that relies so heavily on nostalgia, Dungeon Synth as a genre has some hard limits. However, when done right, it can really just draw you in. Forest Shrine just does everything right here. The music does a great job at visualizing a winter landscape in all of its stark beauty and I suspect enjoying this in the snow will make it even better. 3.5/5 ClassyMusicSnob

Four tracks with a good variance rather than sounding like Yet Another Sad Dungeon album layered with synths. My short and sweet opinions:
+ Track 1 is based around a sad, piano-driven melody
+ Track 2 is even sadder with more emphasis on synth
+ Track 3 is Dungeon Synth moved up an octave or two into Comfy Synth territory. It is upbeat and provides a good contrast
+ Track 4 is slow and ominous John Gaunt
